A child needs manner

He goes to school and comes back with so many complaints against his friends and teachers. He counts; this sir pulled my ears in the morning, that teacher scolded me in the assembly ground, my English teacher beat me in the class and so on...

I listen to him and get infuriated with what he says. They shouldn’t, they should treat you like their son.

He never stops bringing them home, and I never stopped supporting him because I always believed I know my child more than anyone else.

The school has shut down now for a while, and he stays with me most of the time. I believed he would have no complaints at home, but he has; it has now shifted from school to finding things unfair in his life at home.

He complains about the food, he complains about his brothers and sisters, he goes on...

 Where did I go wrong?

The first day he complained about his friends in the school, I should have told him that his friends were right over the issue. The first time he complained about his teachers, I should have told him that a teacher is his second parent. I should have never supported him and boost his ego to consume more egos.

I sit with him for an hour every night to help him do his homework. I realized I have never known my child. Indeed, I have made him choose the path I don’t want my son to travel. He tears his books over the slightest error, he bangs his hand on the study table, he eats there and keeps them scattered all over.

The school has taught him nothing, but I am not blaming his school and teachers. I made him this way, I charged his teachers on all the occasions he brought home some complaints against them.

I believed that my son cannot be wrong, I believed he is the well-disciplined child, but my child is not, my child was wrong from the beginning and I made him travel the same way.

I should have never supported him to only teach him that there is no wrong in seeing the wrongness in oneself. I should have taught him that a teacher’s job isn’t easy. I should have at least taught him something called a manner.

I learned about my child but I am almost late now, with him I spoiled a few other children. I didn’t realize that the moment I went to his school to charge a teacher, I stopped that teacher from teaching manners to other children. I stopped the teacher from carrying out his job, I stopped the teacher from helping me make my child well mannered.

Are you like me? Okay! So you want to see your child like my son?
